Aluminij d.d. Mostar is the motivating power of the city, region, but also country. In relation to the current manufacturing capacity it generates an annual export of more then 150 million euros.

The partners with which the Aluminij does business are renowned global companies, from which the most important are: Venture Coke Company L.L.C. (Venco-Conoco joint Venture) from the USA, Glencore International AG from Switzerland, Debis International trading GmbH, Daimler-Chrysler and VAW Alluminium Technologie GmbH from Germany, Hydro ASA from Norway, Fiat from Italy, and TLM-Šibenik from Croatia.

Estimating, around 30.000 people in this and wider region directly or indirectly live off the Aluminij. Firstly, we are talking about employees and their families, next, electrical power suppliers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Croatia (they collect annually over 50 million euros for electrical power supplies), service providers of the railroad and roadway transport, Port of Ploče (around 60% of its capacity works exclusively for Aluminij), TLM Šibenik (while providing high-quality alluminium on time and at reasonable prices they have triple increased production in relation to the prewar period), merchant and service companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Croatia , schools, daycares, hospitals

Just on the Mostar area there is an income of 40 million euros annually from Aluminij. That kind of development trend enabled investments in cultural institutions, among which are: the construction of the little scene of the Croatian National theatre Mostar and Aluminij Galleries (one of the most important for the city of Mostar and wider region).

Certificates for Quality systems in coherence to the required standards of ISO 9001 and for the environment protection system in coherence to the required standards of ISO 14001 were not without reason awarded to Aluminij d.d. Mostar.
