Relax-Buna

About twelve kilometers south of the city center located is the sports-recreation Center Relax-Buna. It functions within the Aluminij Company and it is exclusively used to accommodate guests and sports activities themselves. It is located on a surface of 15.000 square meters. Within the Relax-Buna situated are eleven little houses in the form of apartments that could accommodate up to fifty visitors. Five apartments are air-conditioned and have satellite antennas. The first guests, after the war destructions, were the employees of the Spanish electrolysis that stayed here a full four months.

Before the war, the center was an open type of accommodation, while today it is solely intended for the accommodation of workers, business partners and guests of Aluminij. That is not a small figure since there are many occasions to visit the Aluminij.

Sports terrains and tournaments for Aluminijs workers

The workers of Aluminij almost all year, from April to September, have to their disposal two grass football fields and one concrete playing field. Tournaments of Aluminijs workers are played on them. Sports competitions are held in between teams of Anodes, Foundries, Security, Management board, Maintenance and others, depending on how many workers want to try out their sports condition and skills in football. At the indoor soccer tournaments apart from many teams a large number of visitors get together. Aluminijs workers but many guests as well watch the tournament. Daily it was known to be even 250 visitors amongst which were passionate fans.

Six employees of the Relax Buna, constantly maintain sports fields as well as showers with warm water but also complement facilities. They always have their hands filled with work, being it mowing or planting grass, arranging fruit trees, cleaning the riverbank of garbage and ashore wastes, or awaiting guests.
